Dr. George Edwards, III
Dr. George Edwards, III is a native of Raleigh and completed medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. He completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship including shoulder at the University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Edwards is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He has done extensive post-graduate training in shoulder surgery including primary and reverse shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repairs and shoulder injuries related to sports. He received the Subspecialty Certificate in Hand Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is married and has two children. Outside of work, Dr. Edwards enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his children. He also competes in triathlons and enjoys playing the guitar and mandolin.
